Solve Puzzles As Cute Robots In New Demo For Biped 2

Biped 2, an anticipated follow-up to the indie puzzle adventure from 2020, was announced this week with a new demo via Steam. NEXT Studios and META Publishing return for Biped 2, which adds new features and biomes.

In Biped 2, the adorable bipedal robots now journey to an alien planet after receiving a distress signal. Supporting solo and co-op modes, players must solve a series of puzzles that continue to test your coordination.

There’s currently no release date for Biped 2, but the Steam page mentions it should launch sometime around Q2 2025. In the meantime, fans can check out a few levels in the new demo, including one for the fresh 4-player mode! Meta Publishing just announced the sequel with a gameplay trailer.

The puzzle genre is a personal favorite, and as you may have noticed by my Boti review (and various news selections), I love an adorable robot! So, I’m delighted to see Biped expand, and I believe the devs are taking the right direction for new features.

Firstly, encouraging players to build their own levels in Steam Workshop is a surprising treat. Puzzle classics like Portal 2 and Human Fall Flat thrive on their communities this way, and some players show truly astonishing creativity.

I also appreciate that Biped 2 plans to open up your movement with gliding and grappling hooks. More angles could add a lot more density to the puzzles, and maybe even help with pacing.

Four-player cooperation in this game? Absolutely! I’m certain other fans can also imagine the potential chaos, akin to stumbling in Overcooked in slow motion. I’m curious to see if the devs can muster appropriate puzzle balancing for each mode.

According Meta Publishing’s new trailer, Biped 2 will be available on “PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch with a cross-platform online coop of up to 4 players.”
