Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade, a follow-up to Steamforged Games’ previous dungeon crawling TTG, launches a fresh Gamefound campaign today. It supports solo or cooperative gameplay for up to five players, and will likely share the same weight as its predecessor.

In Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade, heroes must explore a mystical forest to rescue it from corruption while battling enemies like fae, orcs, and even cultists.

Steamforged Games recently released a new trailer for the upcoming game, which breaks down the basics and showcases the team’s signature high-quality miniatures:

The first Bardsung released not long ago, and largely received strong reviews. However, today’s new Gamefound makes it clear that Forsaken Glade “remasters the gameplay.”

Like any fan hopes for, it appears the series will continue to refine itself, and “remaster” is pretty strong language. So, those who felt a little dismayed by some of the previous mechanics might have another look.

What instantly struck me about Forsaken Glade is the sheer personality in the theme and artwork. It seems to add more flavor than Ancient Forge, which I feel comes off a little vanilla by comparison.

The new story, with its folktale aesthetics, already does a better job of capturing an aged world and it feels more unpredictable. In fact, that approach happens to make it a pretty good fit for Halloween, too. That goes a long way for me, since I’m a big fan of folklore and the Halloween season.

Forsaken Glade’s miniatures also look detailed, creative, and full of narrative, certain to impress longtime fans. Steamforged Games has always made reliable miniatures that tend to justify the investment all on their own, especially for those who consider minis their own hobby.

The Gamefound campaign begins in just a couple of hours, so be sure to keep an eye on it for potential stretch goals and even more details!
