Summum Aeterna, an indie RPG and action roguelite from developer and publisher Aeternum Game Studios, has officially “Gone Gold”, meaning the game development is now totally complete.

In Summum Aeterna, players explore randomly generated worlds as The King of Darkness, a warlord condemned to eternal life. The narrative is a prequel to acclaimed metroidvania Aeterna Noctis.

Summum Aeterna has been in Early Access since June 2022, regularly adding major updates. The Early Access version and a playable demo are available on Steam now.

The full release is currently slated to launch on September 14th, 2023. It will be available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. You can watch today’s new Gold trailer on the Aeternum Game Studios YouTube channel:

Throughout the course of its Early Access run, Summum Aeterna has continued to introduce fresh content and even new mechanics, such as the “Will of the Kings” mode and the Seed Expert.

Now that the game has gone Gold, it’s an ideal time for interested players to invest in the Early Access version. After all, the Steam page confirms that Summum Aeterna currently has a reduced price in Early Access.
