Sticky Business, a cozy sim about managing a small sticker business from developer Spellgarden Games and publisher Assemble Entertainment, is now slated to launch on July 17th, 2023, according to an official tweet.
In Sticky Business, players have thousands of options to create adorable stickers, then produce, pack and sell them to customers. Different stickers will attract unique customers, who you can also get to know.
Sticky Business will be available on PC via GOG and Steam, where you can play a demo now. For a gameplay overview, you can watch the original announcement trailer on the Assemble Entertainment YouTube channel:
The title pun alone ought to inform you just how laid back and friendly this game truly is. The art design is also full of bright, vivid colors and soft imagery.
Sticky Business is one of many cute business sims. Just last week, we covered Nom Nom: Cozy Forest Café, which adds some rhythm elements to stand out and arrives later this year.
However, Sticky Business is a 2D experience, and it seems thematic enough. Players who enjoy arts and crafts, like me, will probably get into this. Especially if you don’t ordinarily care for the base building or pressure of most business sims.
The sticker design looks very charming. There are many little elements that are cute enough to inspire players. Most of the images revealed so far go well beyond simple emojis, and come in a range of categories.
There are also some decent editing mechanics that go beyond the basics, such as paper type, sparkles and other effects. This extends into packing the stickers yourself, where it feels like prepping presents.
Surprisingly, a new post on Steam mentions that Sticky Business will offer Twitch integration, allowing viewers to become in-game customers. That’s a huge draw and a creative way to bolster the social aspects.
