Fall of Porcupine will launch tomorrow on June 15th, 2023. It will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. A playable demo is available on Steam now.

Fall of Porcupine has successfully created a world that lives and breathes, with interesting characters and dialogue that sparkles. The art design is also adorable, colorful and engaging.
The slice of life approach, with everyday banter and problems, makes the workplace and town bustle with intrigue. Finley’s troubles and workload also have a distinct authenticity. The central events and characters in Fall of Porcupine are highly relatable.
As a result, you will become unexpectedly invested in the narrative. Yes, this game is surprisingly witty, and it certainly looks very cute. Many of the characters are also cute, and often idiosyncratic. Like so many have said already, Fall of Porcupine is certainly cozy.
But your inevitable attachment also adds a tremendous heft to your responsibilities, relationships and drama. They will undoubtedly have a tangible impact on you, particularly given the healthcare premise of this story.
However, players will be to easily digest this experience, as well as thoughtful healthcare commentary, while remaining entertained by decisions and comedy. That’s because they are so neatly woven together.
Fall of Porcupine always encourages you to explore and meet everyone, just to discover their quirks and role in town. Yes, there are definite comparisons to Night in the Woods, but it makes the most of its elaborations and unique perspective. There are also some bugs and minor hiccups, but they’re easy to overlook.
Final Thoughts
Fall of Porcupine is a sophisticated indie that includes all of the laughs and risks you hope it will. It looks gorgeous, and the heart and humor of the narrative is immensely satisfying. You won’t want to leave Porcupine. It feels like a good book on a quiet day.
Score: 8.5/10
